The Cat’s Pajamas

August 31, 2015

Well, this week was great as ever.  A super classic week – we had 10 lessons cancel on us in a row!?!  It was honestly just funny toward the end, but we still taught a bunch of lessons, saw some incredible miracles, and had a blast! Elder Sedgwick and I never have a dull day.  The mission is full of excitement!

We had three investigators come to church yesterday and it was a huge blessing. I thought of a quote I’ve heard before – “I love the smell of smoke in the chapel.” I love this quote because it means someone is trying. We are all trying to achieve the same thing, to get back to our Heavenly Father and to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. Everyone has a different trial or a different vice, it’s our job to help and love everyone overcome whatever their trial is. We are all brothers and sisters and we all need help along the way. There are so many things that make life hard, so we shouldn’t add to them, we should be what makes life easier.

We got to eat some authentic paella and it was awesome. I also had my first salad this week and I can honestly say I hope it’s my last! Also the people here think there are only five continents – well six if you count Antarctica … and apparently the whole world thinks this except America … so, idk – I feel like my whole life has been a lie. Just kidding – there are clearly seven continents – I don’t know what they’re thinking.

Gotta give a shout out to Big Nance and my Grandpa for their birthdays this week. Big Nance has been a trooper raising me – she’s sacrificed a lot and I’m super grateful for her and everything she has done for me.

Anyway, that’s all for this week, I think.  This is the true Church of God, I know it with all my heart.
